Hi. I’m Geri. I’ve been thinking about this Blog for a very long time. At the insistence of friends I’m finally taking that first step. I surely do not know how to navigate this sight at all but I am writing anyway. I have to start somewhere if I ever hope to put enough words on paper for a book to emerge. I have chosen on the job training. Hopefully I will have this site looking exactly how I want it soon. I want it to reflect who I am. I want it to feel like home.

I am wife to an amazing husband, Michael. We will be celebrating 36 years together this year. The time has flown and life has evolved rich and true. Hardship mixed with beautiful memories.I have two adult children, Lexie 26 and Andrew 29. These 3 people are the lights of my life. Being a wife and a mother is my true calling. Although I’m far from perfect, I engage life with my whole heart and soul.

I work full time as an Administrative Assistant which I do for the financial security but my true talents and gifts lie in the creative arena. I am in my element when I am cooking, baking, sewing, painting, writing, quilting, decorating, playing the piano (for my amusement and others amazement). I plan parties and events and get very carried away creating the right atmosphere. These events are usually unnecessarily over the top.

I am a Christ follower. My life cannot be separated into spiritual and other. My faith is intertwined into every aspect of my being and hopefully anything I do will bring glory to His name and encouragement to others.

I love curling up by the fire with some smooth jazz and a good book. Starbucks and Chapters are my addictions. Working in my kitchen brings me great joy and peace. Cooking for others and having them in our home is truly a blessing. I invite you to come in a sit a spell on this site.
